Planting the Seeds of Faith: Giving Your Children a Strong Spiritual Foundation
I share my Top Ten strategies to pass on a spiritual legacy to your children. Some are standbys:
read the Bible daily, develop your prayer life and take your children to church regularly. Others may
be new to you: incorporate Scripture in your everyday life and dedicate your home and service to
the Lord. This approach is reminiscent of Proverbs 22:6, “Train up your child in the way he should
go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Praying for Your Child and Your Child’s Future Mate
Replace worry for your children with prayer! Believing prayer to be one of the most effective
parenting tools, I share why’s and how’s of praying God’s word in specific situations, not only for our
own children, but also our someday kids—the future husbands and wives of our children.

Power Moms: Relying on the Holy Spirit to be the Mom God Intended You to Be
Using the acronym P-O-W-E-R, I identify the steps to a deeper spiritual life as a mother. Pray about
the job that God has called you to do. Obey God’s commands even when you don’t feel like it. Wait
on the Lord to renew your strength. Experience contentment in the midst of a messy kitchen and
hectic schedule. Rely on the Holy Spirit instead of yourself.

Putting Christ Back Into Christmas: Tracing the Christian Origin of Christmas Traditions
I examine time-honored traditions—celebrating Christmas on December 25th, sending Christmas
cards, decorating trees, believing in Santa, and exchanging gifts—and trace how each is rooted in
the Christian faith.
